3-D printed material could encourage bone growth

Scientists have come up with a durable material which is a mixture of an elastic polymer together with hydroxyapatite, a calcium mineral found in human bones and teeth. This can be 3-D printed into a variety of shapes which, it is hoped, could become a scaffold used to repair broken or damaged bones.
